Bakken flaring opportunity

On December 18, the New York Times published a story on gas flaring in North Dakota, which is increasing as a result of the rise in drilling activity in recent years. GE Oil & Gas is working with Statoil, using our CNG In a Box™ system to turn the flaring challenge into a sustainable opportunity. A. Lance Langford, Statoil's vice president for Bakken development and production, and other energy executives, consider the flaring problem to be the mother of invention. "You take a problem and you turn it into an opportunity," he said. "We're trying to think outside the box."
