Toronto Public Information Program

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. (GEH-C) maintains a public information program as required by the Toronto fuel facility operating licence issued by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. This program provides information about operations to interested members of the public, particularly those living in the vicinity of the site. 2010 Operating Licence Renewal

Following public hearings in Ottawa on September 30th and December 9th, the GEH-C operating licences for its Peterborough and Toronto facilities were renewed by the CNSC. As part of this renewal, what had been two separate facility licences were combined into a single licence applying to both sites. The period of the renewed licence is 10 years. No significant changes were requested to the plant operations as part of the renewal application.
