LWD Tools

Primary formation evaluation is an essential part of petrophysical modeling for oil companies, when assessing reservoir potential. Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) technology provides operators with real time formation evaluation data during the drilling of a well with sensors that are included in the BHA. Information is sent to the surface in real time and the tool simultaneously acquires and stores the data in memory for later download and presentation of high resolution logs. The use of LWD technology becomes of particular importance when traditional wireline measurements cannot be easily attained.

Gamma Ray
The Gamma Ray tool can be attached to the MWD string below the Directional Sensor in order to measure natural gamma radiation from the formation, which enables basic sand/shale detection. The patented scintillation detector design provides a highly reliable measurement and has been developed to withstand the high levels of shock and vibration usually encountered during drilling operations while maximizing scintillator volume for optimal sensitivity.
TRIM Induction Resistivity

TRIM is the only LWD tool in the world that delivers a true Induction Resistivity while drilling measurement. Fully tried and tested, TRIM has been commercial for over 5 years and is regularly operated in a wide range of well conditions, proving its functionality, reliability and ruggedness.

CPR Propagation Resistivity

The Compact Propagation Resistivity provides a fully compensated, Multi-Frequency, Multi-depth Wave Propagation Resistivity measurement. By means of a patented Depth Compensation System, the antenna array is up to 50% shorter than previously existing devices.

Centerfire Propagation Resistivity

The Centerfire Propagation Resistivity provides a fully compensated, Multi-Frequency, Multi-depth Wave Propagation Resistivity measurement similar to the CPR, but utilizing natural compensation.
